The Railtrac Trip Summary Report provides three different sections.

1. Cars Inbound to Site.
2. Cars At Site.
3. Cars Outbound from Site.

The Railtrac Shop Summary Report is a report of all cars at the shop or is on its way to the shop or on its way back from shop.

The reports contain about 20 records/shipments per page. If the report for a user has more than 20 shipments, the user can use the navigational links to move from page to page. Clicking on the First Page Link will take the user to the first page of the report and clicking on Next Page link will take the user to the next page and so on. Clicking on Previous Page link allows the user to navigate backwards in the report. The Last Page link will take the user to the last page of the report. An user might have to page forward to see the other sections of a single report.

The hyperlink on the column titles is used to sort the information. Clicking once on the column title will sort the report in ascending order of the column. Clicking a second time on the same column will re-sort the data in descing order of that column. For example clicking on the column 'Product' will sort the data in ascending order of Product. The sorting works on all pages of the report. If on a second or third page of the report, the user clicks on a column title to sort, the report is sorted on the new column and the first page of the report is displayed.

The hyperlinks within the body of the report provide more details by displaying other reports. Hovering over a hyperlink for a few seconds will display a pop help describing the purpose of the hyperlink. For example, if the user clicks on Car Id, the shipment detail screen/report is displayed. If the user clicks on product, the product detail screen/report is displayed. All hyperlinks are underlined to show that there is more information behind the data value.

The report also contains special dynamic columns that get displayed as icons only if there is any information behind them. Shipment Comments and Outages are such columns. If there is a comment associated with a shipment, an icon will show up to the left of that record that looks like a book. Hovering over this icon will display the popup message that it is a link to the shipment comments. Clicking on this icon will display the comments screen/report for that shipment.
